How to set the number of rounds in TF2

Type mp_maxrounds 2 in the server console to change map after 2 rounds. 0 means no round limit.

mp_maxrounds

Sets the maximum number of rounds played before the server changes map. 0 means no round limit.

mp_maxrounds <rounds>

Examples

mp_maxrounds 2

Two rounds per map, enough for each team to attack once in stopwatch-style play.

mp_maxrounds 0

Remove the round limit.

Arguments

roundsRequired
Number of rounds per map. 0 disables the limit.

What it does

Counts completed rounds and switches to the next map once the count is reached. It works alongside mp_timelimit and mp_winlimit: whichever limit is hit first ends the map. Useful on payload and attack/defend servers where you want a fixed number of rounds.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to tf/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a TF2 server first.
