How to set the wipe timezone in Rust
Type wipetimer.wipetimezone "America/New_York" in the server console so the wipe timer uses New York time. Default is Europe/London.
wipetimer.wipetimezone
Sets the timezone the wipe timer uses, as a TZ database name like Europe/London.
wipetimer.wipetimezone "<tz>" Examples
wipetimer.wipetimezone "America/New_York" Use US Eastern time for the wipe timer.
Arguments
tzRequired- TZ database identifier.
What it does
Wipe day and hour are read in this timezone. Use a standard TZ identifier such as Europe/Berlin or America/New_York. If the value is empty or invalid, the server's own timezone is used.
The game's own description: The timezone to use for wipes. Defaults to the server's time zone if not set or invalid. Value should be a TZ identifier as seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones
Good to know
wipetimer.printtimezoneslists the identifiers the server accepts.
Run it on your server
Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
