How to change player timeout in Rust

Type server.playertimeout 90 in the server console so players are disconnected after 90 seconds with no network traffic. Default is 60.

server.playertimeout

Sets how many seconds without network traffic before a player is disconnected.

server.playertimeout <seconds>

What it does

Players whose connection goes silent for this long are dropped. The default is 60 seconds.

Run it on your server

Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
