How to hide your position on the map in Rust
Type server.hideplayeronmap True in the server console so players no longer see their own position marker on the in-game map.

What it does
With it on, players can open the map but have to work out where they are themselves. Often combined with fog of war on hardcore-style servers.

Run it on your server
Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
