How to change corpse despawn time in Rust

Type server.corpsedespawn 600 in the server console so player corpses stay in the world for 10 minutes. Default is 300 seconds.

server.corpsedespawn

Sets how many seconds a player corpse stays in the world before it despawns.

server.corpsedespawn <seconds>

Examples

server.corpsedespawn 600

Corpses last 10 minutes.

Arguments

secondsRequired
Time before the corpse is removed.

What it does

Gives players time to return and loot their own body. The default is 300 seconds (5 minutes). Longer times mean more entities on busy servers.

The game's own description: Seconds before a player corpse is removed from the world; default is 300 seconds (5 minutes)

Run it on your server

Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
