How to spawn a structure in Minecraft

Type /place structure minecraft:village_plains in chat as an operator to generate a plains village where you stand.

place

Generates a feature, structure, jigsaw or structure template at a position, the way world generation would.

/place <feature|structure|jigsaw|template> <id> [<pos>] ...

Examples

/place structure minecraft:village_plains

Generates a plains village where you stand.

/place feature minecraft:fancy_oak ~ ~ ~

Grows a large oak tree.

/place template minecraft:igloo/top ~ ~ ~

Places the igloo template file.

Arguments

typeRequired: feature, structure, jigsaw or template.
idRequired: ID of the feature, structure, pool or template.
posOptional: Where to place it. Defaults to your position.

What it does

feature places things like trees or ore veins, structure generates a whole structure such as a village, jigsaw builds from a template pool, and template places a saved structure file with optional rotation, mirror and integrity. Without a position it uses your current location.

Good to know

Needs operator permission level 2.
