How to change a biome in Minecraft
Type /fillbiome ~-16 ~-16 ~-16 ~16 ~16 ~16 minecraft:cherry_grove in chat as an operator to turn the area around you into a cherry grove.
fillbiome
Changes the biome in a box of blocks, for example to turn part of a world into a cherry grove.
/fillbiome <from> <to> <biome> [replace <filter>] Examples
/fillbiome ~-16 ~-16 ~-16 ~16 ~16 ~16 minecraft:cherry_grove Turns the area around you into a cherry grove.
/fillbiome ~-32 -64 ~-32 ~32 320 ~32 minecraft:plains replace minecraft:desert Converts desert to plains in a column.
Arguments
fromRequired- First corner.
toRequired- Opposite corner.
biomeRequired- Biome ID, for example
minecraft:plains. filterOptional- Only replace this biome or
#tag.
What it does
Sets the biome for every cell in the area, which changes grass and water colors, weather and which mobs spawn there. Biomes are stored in 4 by 4 by 4 cells, so the edges snap to that grid. Add replace <filter> to only change cells of one biome or biome tag.
Good to know
- Needs operator permission level 2.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab without the leading slash; in game, operators type it in chat with the slash. New to this? Start a Minecraft server first.
