How to change player size in Minecraft

Type /attribute @p minecraft:scale base set 2 in chat as an operator to make yourself twice as big. The same command sets max health and speed.

attribute

Reads or changes entity attributes like max health, movement speed and scale.

/attribute <target> <attribute> <get|base get|base set <value>|base reset|modifier ...>

Examples

/attribute @p minecraft:max_health base set 40

Gives the nearest player 20 hearts.

/attribute @p minecraft:scale base set 2

Makes the player twice as big.

/attribute @p minecraft:max_health base reset

Restores normal max health.

Arguments

targetRequired
One player or entity.
attributeRequired
Attribute ID, for example minecraft:max_health.
valueOptional
New base value, for base set.

What it does

Each attribute has a base value plus modifiers. base set changes the base, base reset restores the default, and modifier add <id> <value> <add_value|add_multiplied_base|add_multiplied_total> stacks a named change you can remove later. Attribute IDs have no generic. prefix in current versions, for example minecraft:max_health or minecraft:scale.

Good to know

  • Needs operator permission level 2.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab without the leading slash; in game, operators type it in chat with the slash. New to this? Start a Minecraft server first.
