How to record a GOTV demo in CS2

Type tv_record scrim_mirage in the server console to record a GOTV demo with that name. GOTV must be running.

tv_record

Starts recording a GOTV demo with the file name you give.

tv_record <filename>

Examples

tv_record scrim_mirage

Record to scrim_mirage.dem.

Arguments

filenameRequired: Demo file name. .dem is added automatically.

What it does

GOTV must be running. The demo records the whole match from every view, not only one player's perspective. Stop it with tv_stoprecord.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS2 server first.
