How to restart the game in CS2

Type mp_restartgame 1 in the server console to restart the match after 1 second, resetting scores, money and rounds.

mp_restartgame

Restarts the match after the given number of seconds, resetting scores, money and rounds.

mp_restartgame <seconds>

Examples

mp_restartgame 1

Restart the match right away.

mp_restartgame 5

Give players five seconds of warning.

Arguments

secondsRequired
Seconds until the restart. 1 restarts almost immediately.

What it does

Setting it to a number above zero schedules a restart: the score goes back to 0-0, everyone respawns with mp_startmoney, and round one begins. It is the standard way to apply new settings or start a match cleanly after warmup or a knife round. The value resets to 0 after the restart.

The game's own description: If non-zero, game will restart in the specified number of seconds

Good to know

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS2 server first.
