How to use a custom map cycle in CS:S

Type mapcyclefile mapcycle_custom.txt in the server console to read the map rotation from that file, one map per line.

mapcyclefile

Sets the text file the server reads its map rotation from.

mapcyclefile <filename>

Examples

mapcyclefile mapcycle_custom.txt

Use a custom rotation.

Arguments

filenameRequired
Name of the map cycle file.

What it does

The file lists one map per line and lives in cstrike/cfg (older installs keep it in cstrike). Point this at a different file to swap rotations.

The game's own description: Name of the .txt file used to cycle the maps on multiplayer servers

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS:S server first.
