How to restrict the chase cam in CS 1.6
Type mp_forcechasecam 1 in the server console so dead players watch only teammates. Nonzero values override mp_forcecamera; 0 defers to it.
mp_forcechasecam
Older version of mp_forcecamera; a nonzero value overrides it.
mp_forcechasecam <0|1|2> Examples
mp_forcechasecam 0 Let mp_forcecamera decide.
Values
| Value | What it does |
|---|---|
| 0Default | Spectate anyone |
| 1 | Spectate own team only |
| 2 | Own team only, first-person view only |
Arguments
modeRequired- 0, 1 or 2.
What it does
Takes the same values as mp_forcecamera: 0 anyone, 1 own team only, 2 own team in first person. When it is 0 the game uses mp_forcecamera; when it is nonzero, this value wins. Set one of the two and leave the other at 0 to avoid confusion.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS 1.6 server first.
