sv_setsteamaccount

sv_setsteamaccount <token>

Examples

Log in with your token.

Arguments

tokenRequired
Your Game Server Login Token.

What it does

Create a token for app ID 440 on Steam's game server account management page and set it here, or pass it on the command line as +sv_setsteamaccount. It must be set before the server connects to Steam, so it belongs in the launch options or server.cfg.

The game's own description: token Set game server account token to use for logging in to a persistent game server account

Good to know

  • Keep the token private. Anyone with it can run a server on your account.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to tf/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a TF2 server first.
