How to set an item whitelist on a TF2 server

Type mp_tournament_whitelist cfg/item_whitelist.txt in the server console so only the items listed in that file are allowed in tournament mode.

mp_tournament_whitelist

Sets the item whitelist file that decides which weapons and cosmetics are allowed in tournament mode.

mp_tournament_whitelist <file>

Examples

mp_tournament_whitelist cfg/item_whitelist.txt

Load a whitelist stored in tf/cfg.

Arguments

fileRequired
Path to the whitelist file, for example cfg/my_whitelist.txt.

What it does

Points to a text file that lists allowed items. Leagues publish their own whitelists, which servers load so banned weapons cannot be equipped. The path is relative to the tf folder.

The game's own description: Specifies the item whitelist file to use.

Good to know

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to tf/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a TF2 server first.
