How to set the server IP in Rust
Add +server.ip 0.0.0.0 to the server's launch options to bind to every network interface, or give one local IP to bind to only that.
server.ip
Sets the local IP address the server binds to, or all interfaces when left empty.
+server.ip <address> Examples
+server.ip 0.0.0.0 Listen on all interfaces.
Arguments
addressRequired- Local IPv4 address to bind to.
What it does
Only needed when the machine has several IP addresses and you want the server on a specific one. In most setups you leave it empty, or use 0.0.0.0, so the server listens on every interface.
The game's own description: IP address the server binds to; leave empty to bind to all interfaces
Good to know
- Launch-line setting.
Run it on your server
Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
