How to set a Rust server banner image

Type server.headerimage "https://example.com/rust-banner.png" in the server console to show that image at the top of your server's browser page.

server.headerimage

Sets the URL of the banner image shown at the top of your server's browser page.

server.headerimage "<url>"

Examples

server.headerimage "https://example.com/rust-banner.png"

Use a hosted PNG as the banner.

Arguments

urlRequired
Direct link to the banner image.

What it does

Point it at a directly reachable image file (PNG or JPG) on a public host. If the link breaks or needs a login, players see an empty banner. The image is loaded by each player's client, so a fast and reliable host matters.

The game's own description: URL of the banner/header image shown at the top of this server's page in the server browser

Good to know

  • Use a direct image link, not a page that only displays the image.

Run it on your server

Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
