How to set up RCON on a Rust server

Add +rcon.port 28016 +rcon.web 1 to the server's launch options to open WebRCON on port 28016. Set a password with +rcon.password too.

rcon.port

Sets the port the server listens on for RCON connections.

portRequired: TCP port for RCON.

What it does

RCON lets tools and panels send console commands remotely. It only starts when an RCON password is set with rcon.password on the launch line. Rust's usual RCON port is 28016. Open it for TCP if you connect from outside.

Run it on your server

Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
