aimanager.ai_dormant <True|False>

Values

ValueWhat it does
TrueDefault Distant AI goes dormant
False All AI stays active

Arguments

stateRequired
True to let distant AI go dormant.

What it does

With it on, AI outside the range of any player goes dormant and costs little. Wildlife does not simulate as well while dormant. Leave it on unless you have a specific reason.

The game's own description: If ai_dormant is true, any npc outside the range of players will render itself dormant and take up less resources, but wildlife won't simulate as well.

Run it on your server

Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
