Type sv_hibernate_think 1 in the server console so Lua timers and hooks keep running with nobody online, instead of the server hibernating.

Values
| Value | What it does |
|---|---|
| 0 | Off |
| 1 | On |
Arguments
0|1Required- 1 keeps the server thinking when empty.
What it does
An empty server hibernates and stops thinking, which pauses Lua timers and Think hooks. Set it to 1 if an addon must keep working with nobody online, for example scheduled tasks or a Discord relay.
The game's own description: Forces the server to think even when hibernating
Good to know
- Costs some idle CPU.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to garrysmod/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a GMod server first.
