How to rename your gamemode in the GMod browser
Type sv_gamename_override "Sandbox Build" in the server console to show that label instead of the gamemode name in the server browser.
sv_gamename_override
Overrides the gamemode name your server shows in the server browser.
sv_gamename_override <name> Examples
sv_gamename_override "Sandbox Build" Custom gamemode label.
Arguments
nameRequired- Text to show as the gamemode name.
What it does
By default the server browser shows the gamemode's own name. Set this to show a custom label instead, for example to mark a modified gamemode. Leave it empty to use the gamemode name.
The game's own description: If not empty, overrides the gamemode name reported by the server to Steam.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to garrysmod/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a GMod server first.
