How to get a weapon without cheats in GMod
Type gm_giveswep weapon_crossbow in your game console to get the crossbow, the same as picking it from the spawn menu's Weapons tab.
gm_giveswep
Gives you a weapon by class name, the same as picking it from the Weapons tab of the spawn menu.

Arguments
classRequired- Weapon class, for example weapon_crossbow.
What it does
Admin-only weapons in the spawn menu stay admin-only through this command.
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to garrysmod/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a GMod server first.
