How to change team names in CS2

Type mp_teamname_1 "Team Alpha" in the server console to name the team that starts as CT; mp_teamname_2 names the other team.

mp_teamname_1

Sets a custom name for the first team (the team that starts as CT).

mp_teamname_1 <name>

Arguments

nameRequired: Team name. Use quotes if it has spaces.

What it does

Shown on the scoreboard and HUD instead of Counter-Terrorists. Team 1 keeps its name after the halftime switch. Leave it empty to use the default name.

The game's own description: A non-empty string overrides the first team's name.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS2 server first.
