How to enable SourceTV in CS:S

Type tv_enable 1 in the server console, then change map, and SourceTV joins so spectators can watch and demos can be recorded.

tv_enable

Toggles SourceTV, which lets spectators watch the server and lets you record demos.

tv_enable <0|1>

Examples

tv_enable 1

Enable SourceTV.

Arguments

0|1Required
1 turns it on, 0 turns it off.

What it does

SourceTV joins as an extra slot named after tv_name. It must be on before the map loads, so change the map after enabling it.

The game's own description: Activates SourceTV on server.

Good to know

  • Needs a map change after turning on.
  • SourceTV uses its own port, set by tv_port.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to cstrike/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a CS:S server first.
