How to turn on fast weapon switch in CS:S
Type hud_fastswitch 1 in your game console and number keys equip that weapon at once, without a confirming click.

With 1 pressing a slot key equips that weapon right away. Most players use it.
Use it in your game
Type it in your own game console: turn on the developer console in the game's settings, then press the key under Esc. To keep it, put the line in cstrike/cfg/autoexec.cfg.
