How to add tags to a TF2 server

Type sv_tags "nocrits,norespawntime,2fort" in the server console so players can find your server by those tags in the browser.

sv_tags

Sets comma-separated tags that describe the server in the server browser.

tagsRequired: Comma-separated list of tags.

What it does

Players can search and filter by tags. Use them for things like the game mode or rules, for example nocrits or instant respawn. The game also adds some tags on its own based on settings.

The game's own description: Server tags. Used to provide extra information to clients when they're browsing for servers. Separate tags with a comma.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to tf/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a TF2 server first.
