Arguments

valueOptional
-1, 0, 1 or 2.

What it does

Values: -1 or 0 apply no file checking, 1 enforces the list in pure_server_whitelist.txt, and 2 requires all checked content to be the official Steam files. Competitive leagues use sv_pure 2 or a whitelist. Run it without a value to see the current mode.

The game's own description: Show user data.

Good to know

  • The new value takes effect on the next map load.
  • Most hosts set it as a launch option, +sv_pure 2.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to tf/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a TF2 server first.
