How to watch a demo in TF2

Type playdemo my_game in your game console to play my_game.dem from the tf folder. Shift+F2 opens the playback controls.

playdemo

Plays back a recorded demo file.

Arguments

filenameRequired: Demo file name, with or without .dem.

What it does

Loads and plays a .dem file from the tf folder. Use the demo UI to pause, skip and slow down.

Use it in your game

Type it in your own game console: turn on the developer console in the game's settings, then press the key under Esc. To keep it, put the line in tf/cfg/autoexec.cfg.
