How to record a demo in TF2

Type record my_game in your game console while in a map to record your view to my_game.dem. Type stop to finish.

Arguments

filenameRequired
Demo name without the extension.

What it does

Records what you see in first person to a .dem file in the tf folder. You need to be connected to a server or in a map. Stop with stop.

Use it in your game

Type it in your own game console: turn on the developer console in the game's settings, then press the key under Esc. To keep it, put the line in tf/cfg/autoexec.cfg.
