How to turn sudden death on or off in TF2

Type mp_stalemate_enable 1 in the server console so drawn rounds go to Sudden Death with no respawns. 0 ends them as a stalemate.

mp_stalemate_enable

Toggles Sudden Death, the no-respawn round that starts when the round timer runs out without a winner.

mp_stalemate_enable <0|1>

Examples

1 enables Sudden Death.

What it does

With stalemate mode on, a round that ends in a draw switches to Sudden Death: nobody respawns and the last team standing or the first to capture wins. With it off, the round ends as a stalemate and both teams lose. Casual servers often turn it off because Sudden Death can drag on.

The game's own description: Enable/Disable stalemate mode.

Run it on your server

On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to tf/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a TF2 server first.
