How to view chat history on a Rust server

Type chat.tail 50 in the server console to print the last 50 chat messages.

chat.tail

Prints the most recent chat messages to the console.

chat.tail [count]

countOptional: Number of recent messages to show.

What it does

A quick way to see what has been said from the server console or RCON. You can pass how many lines to show.

Run it on your server

Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
