How to log chat on a Rust server
Type chat.serverlog True in the server console to write every chat message to the server log. It is on by default.

Keeps a record of chat for moderation. Turn it off only if you do not want chat stored.

Run it on your server
Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
