How to type in chat from the F1 console in Rust

Type chat.say "hello" in the F1 console to send that message to global chat under your own name.

chat.say

Sends a message to global chat as the player who types it.

chat.say "<message>"

What it does

This is what the chat box sends when a player presses Enter. A player can also type it in the F1 console.

Run it on your server

Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
