How to freeze an NPC in GMod
With sv_cheats 1 on, look at an NPC and type npc_freeze in your game console to freeze it in place; run it again to unfreeze.
npc_freeze
Freezes or unfreezes the selected NPCs, or the one you are looking at; needs sv_cheats 1.
npc_freeze [name|class] Examples
npc_freeze Freeze the NPC you are aiming at.
Arguments
name|classOptional- NPC name or class, empty for the one under your crosshair.
What it does
Handy for posing a single NPC without turning off all AI.
The game's own description: Selected NPC(s) will freeze in place (or unfreeze). If there are no selected NPCs, uses the NPC under the crosshair. Arguments: -none-
Run it on your server
On a SLASHPLAY server, type it in the Console tab of the server page; the reply shows right under it. A value set there lasts until the server restarts. To keep it, add the line to garrysmod/cfg/server.cfg. New to this? Start a GMod server first.
