How to change headphone EQ in CS2

Type snd_headphone_eq 0 in your game console to pick the first headphone EQ preset; other numbers select the other audio profiles.

Selects the headphone EQ preset, the audio profile option in the sound settings.

What it does

Picks one of the built-in equalizer profiles for headphones. Each preset changes how footsteps and other sounds stand out; try them in a deathmatch or practice game to pick one.
