How to kill yourself in Rust

Press F1 and type kill (full name global.kill) to kill your character, the quick way to respawn or get unstuck.

Kill yourself to respawn.

What it does

Typed by a player in the F1 console. Your character dies where it stands, drops its loot as normal, and you get the respawn screen.

Good to know

Items drop on death as usual unless server.dropitems is off.

Run it on your server

Type it in the server console or send it over RCON; admins can also use the F1 console in game. To keep a setting, run server.writecfg after changing it, or put it on the launch line as +name value.
