viewmodel_offset_y <value> Examples
viewmodel_offset_y 2 Common setting for a less intrusive weapon.
viewmodel_fov 68; viewmodel_offset_x 2.5; viewmodel_offset_y 0; viewmodel_offset_z -1.5 A popular full viewmodel setup.
Arguments
valueRequired- Offset between -2 and 2.
What it does
Shifts the weapon model forward and back; higher values push the gun away from you. Combine it with the other offsets and viewmodel_fov to get the gun out of your line of sight. The game limits each offset to a small range.
The game's own description: viewmodel_offset_y
Good to know
- Changing
viewmodel_presetposoverwrites the offsets.
Use it in your game
Type it in your own game console: turn on the developer console in the game's settings, then press the key under Esc. To keep it, put the line in game/csgo/cfg/autoexec.cfg.
