How to change crosshair gap in CS2

Type cl_crosshairgap -3 in your game console for a tight crosshair; positive values open up the gap in the middle.

cl_crosshairgap

Sets the space between the crosshair lines and the center; negative values pull the lines closer together.

cl_crosshairgap <gap>

Examples

cl_crosshairgap -3

Tight gap, typical for a small static crosshair.

cl_crosshairgap 0

Neutral gap.

Arguments

gapRequired
Gap size. Can be negative. Decimals are allowed.

What it does

Changes the empty space in the middle of the crosshair. Negative values close the gap and are what most players use for a tight crosshair, while positive values open it up. With cl_crosshairgap_useweaponvalue on, the gap also changes per weapon.

Good to know

  • Add the line to autoexec.cfg in game/csgo/cfg if you want to keep a written copy of your crosshair.

Use it in your game

Type it in your own game console: turn on the developer console in the game's settings, then press the key under Esc. To keep it, put the line in game/csgo/cfg/autoexec.cfg.
